you with the pencil and sketchbook in hand,

did i ever say,

you are one of kind,

the guy with a smile to brighten my day,

with the words that melt me to pieces,

the guy who i could talk to about everything under the sun,

about politics, myths, stories and the moon and stars,

i wish one day,

you could see me as me,

and call me e'toile or my dear like -

the sweet, stupid messages you send each week,

just take me into your world,

of sunshine and smiles,

i wait for the three words from your lips,

meant for your future with me,

too bad it was never meant to be,

and you won't ever see me.
